Australian electronic and dream-pop artist Jacqui Hunt, known for her work with Single Gun Theory and Delerium, has announced her upcoming album, Desiderium. Scheduled for release on June 26, 2026, the album will be available on CD and limited-edition vinyl through her independent label, QUSP, co-founded with her husband and musical collaborator, Brian Conolly.
Desiderium marks Hunt’s 40th anniversary in the music industry. The album features a blend of electronic instrumentation, dream-pop, and piano-driven ballads. According to the artist, the record explores themes of grief, loss, healing, and personal reflection.
To accompany the announcement, Hunt has released two music videos representing different stylistic directions of the album:
- ‘Planet’: An electro-ethereal track built from a poem exchanged between Hunt and Conolly while traveling internationally.
- ‘Cycles’: A minimalist piano ballad focusing on familial memory and loss. The accompanying video was directed by teenage filmmaker Kade Stenders.
Hunt initially gained prominence as the frontwoman of Single Gun Theory, an electronic group formed in 1986. She has also collaborated with Canadian electronic act Delerium. Desiderium represents her latest independent effort following these collaborative projects.
