Portion Control Archival Box Set

British electronic and industrial group Portion Control has announced the upcoming release of their first archival box set, 1983-86 – Hit The Pulse to Purge…. Scheduled for release on August 14, 2026, via Artoffact Records, the collection marks the first major retrospective project since the band signed with the label in late 2025.

The collection will be available as a 4xCD box set, digitally, and as a limited-edition red vinyl LP. The CD and digital versions compile 74 tracks spanning the group’s mid-1980s output. Key inclusions are the 1983 mini-LP Hit The Pulse, the studio albums ..Step Forward (1984) and Psycho Bod Saves The World (1986), alongside various singles, B-sides, compilation tracks, demos, and two live concert recordings from 1984 and 1985.

Remastering and Unreleased Material

All tracks included in the compilation have been remastered by Paul Lavigne at Kontrast Mastering. The release features 16 previously unreleased tracks, as well as 12 tracks making their debut on CD and digital platforms. The physical 4xCD edition is housed in a five-panel ecopak and includes a 24-page booklet featuring archival photographs and artwork designed by Stefan Alt.

To preview the collection, Artoffact Records has made available a reconstructed version of the band’s 1984 track “Refugee,” remixed by Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly.

Track Selection and Vinyl Release

In addition to the comprehensive CD and digital editions, a standalone vinyl LP will be released on red vinyl. This single-LP edition features ten curated tracks selected from the larger collection.
