by coldwarnightlife

Electro-industrial collective Damage Control has released a collaborative four-track EP titled Master Of Silence in partnership with Danish musician Leæther Strip (Claus Larsen). Issued via Metropolis Records on June 12, 2026, the EP features two previously released singles alongside two new compositions.

Damage Control comprises Australian-based members Bill Barsby, Richard Thacker, and Alex Wise, alongside Germany-based Markus App. For this release, the project collaborated with Larsen to handle vocals. Production duties were managed by Chris Peterson (known for his work with Front Line Assembly and Noise Unit), while engineering was completed by Greg Reely (Skinny Puppy, Fear Factory).

Production and Collaboration Details

In addition to co-producing, Peterson contributed synthesizers to the track “Obstacles.” The track also features programming contributions from Josh Rombout of the Australian electronic body music (EBM) project SIRUS. According to the band, the collaboration allowed them to blend their musical compositions with Larsen’s darkwave vocal style and Peterson’s industrial production methods.

The tracklist for Master Of Silence is as follows:

  • 1. Rage
  • 2. Oblivion
  • 3. Obstacles
  • 4. Crowned

Future Album Plans

The EP serves as a precursor to Damage Control’s forthcoming second full-length album, Oblivion Grid. The new record will follow their 2017 debut album, Ultranoia. Production and engineering collaborators Peterson and Reely are confirmed to be involved with the upcoming album, with further details expected to be released in the near future.
