Swedish art-pop musician Bonander has collaborated with electronic producer EMMON for a new remix of the track clay. Released on September 25, 2026, through the Stockholm-based label Icons Creating Evil Art, the collaboration marks the third single from Bonander’s forthcoming remix EP, following previous reworks by MANX and Comfort Module.
The Reconstruction of clay
The original version of clay, which appeared on Bonander’s album and we stood there, featured drums by Elias Ortiz Venegas and sampled choral textures from Tusen Tungor. EMMON’s reinterpretation transitions the song into an electronic club environment, employing techno-inspired rhythms and disciplined electronic arrangements while retaining Bonander’s core vocal performances and the original’s choral layers.
Artistic Background and Context
Conceptually, the song addresses themes of anxiety, adaptability, and personal transformation. Bonander noted that the track reflects the human capacity to adapt and be reshaped by persistent challenges. EMMON’s involvement aligns with her ongoing electronic production focus and her forthcoming remix project, ICONMIXED.
